Proposed Local Plan (Regulation 19)

Regulation 19 Consultation

The Council has published the Proposed Submission version of the Blaby Local Plan for consultation and is inviting representations from 12 noon on Wednesday 8 July until 12 noon on Monday 24 August 2026. We welcome your views and comments on the proposed Plan.

The Proposed Submission (Regulation 19) consultation is a key stage in the preparation of the Local Plan. It is the final opportunity to comment on the proposed Plan before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for examination by an independent Inspector. This consultation allows members of the public and other interested parties to suggest changes to the Plan. All representations received will be submitted to the Inspector as part of the examination process.

Submitting a Representation

The quickest and easiest way to submit your representation is via the online consultation form, which can be accessed using the online consultation button below.

You can sign in using your My Account or register using your email address and full name. Creating an account allows you to save your form and return to it later. If you prefer, you can complete the form without registering, but you will need to do so in a single session.

Please use our online form to ensure representations are recorded accurately for the independent Planning Inspector.

If you are unable to use the online form, a Word version of the representation form can be requested.

Important Information:

All representations must be made in writing.

Representations should focus on whether the plan is legally compliant and sound. Please refer to the Guidance Page to ensure your submission meets the requirements.

The Council cannot accept anonymous representations. Your name and representation will be published on the website as part of the examination process.

If you submit a representation, you will automatically be added to the Council’s Local Plan consultation database.

You can also request to be notified when:

  • the Local Plan is submitted for examination
  • the Inspector’s report is published
  • the Local Plan is Adopted by the Council
