Adopted Local Plan
Adopted Local Plan
The Local Plan for Blaby District includes:
- Local Plan (Core Strategy ) (known as the Core Strategy)
- Local Plan (Delivery) Development Plan Document (known as the 'Delivery DPD')
- Policies Maps
The Core Strategy includes the vision, objectives, strategy and core policies for the spatial planning of the District up to 2029. The Core Strategy sets out how much growth is required in the District and the approach to locating this need for new homes, jobs and infrastructure. It proposes a sustainable approach to balance both development requirements and to protect important areas of the natural and built environment. The Core Strategy was adopted by Blaby District Council in February 2013.
The Delivery DPD includes site allocations and development management policies. The Delivery DPD was adopted by the Council in February 2019.
These two documents form the development plan for the District that is used to make decisions on planning applications. The Policies Maps provide a visual map of the policies and proposals of the two documents.
The documents are available to download. Historical documents relating to the preparation of the Local plan documents may be available on request.
