Everards Meadows

What is it?

Everards Meadows is a new development commissioned by Everards Brewery Ltd. The site will include a new brewery and head office as well as hospitality and retail space, a new café and cycle centre.

There will also be a footbridge built over the River Soar to ensure there is access for pedestrians and cyclists to the development.

Where it is?

Everards Meadows is located to the south of Fosse Park and the existing Everards Brewery site across Soar Valley Way, East of the B4114 and the north of the Leicestershire Constabulary Police Headquarters.

The proposal also includes a generous area of land to the east of the site which includes open fields leading down to the River Soar and the Grand Union Canal beyond. This land would be retained as grazing pasture with public access leading down to the river soar and construction of the new bridge.

What else will be there?

There will be two vehicle access points for development. One will be a signalised junction on to and off the westbound carriageway of Soar Valley Way (A563). The second access (left turn entry only) will be off Narborough Road South.

The proposals also include a new bridleway, cycle and pedestrian route from the development site through the adjacent fields to a new bridge over the River Soar to link in with the wider footpath network.

How long will it take?

Everards Meadows began construction in spring 2018. The whole development is estimated to be completed by late 2019.
