Allotments
Renting an allotment is a very popular activity. Having an allotment means you can:
- Have fresh and local produce
- Grow organically
- Encourage more active lifestyles
- Help with the weekly finances
- Meet other like-minded people
- Help children to learn about the environment
- Reduce transportation of food products
Plots of land may be available for rent from your local parish/town council. Water supplies, sheds/storage and skips are usually provided on allotment sites, car parking may also be available.
The authority will determine the regulations concerning the use of allotments and is responsible for ensuring adequate security (such as fences) being available.
Please visit the Parish and Town Council page of the website to find information to get in contact with your authority.
