Support for Young People

Post A Level, T Level and GCSE support

If you didn't achieve the A or T level results, or GCSE results that you were hoping for then don't worry, there's lots of support out there for you to help you progress forwards.

The two main avenues for you to look at for your support would be UCAS and the National Careers Service.

You can get help through UCAS with careers, Apprenticeships and University places, further information in the external link box.

The National Careers Service can help with support and advice, further information on your Post 16 Options can be found in the link in the external link box.

We also have a dedicated officer here at Blaby District Council, who will be able to support you with your future steps.

Young Persons Work and Skills Co-ordinator

If you are between 16 and 24 years of age then you can contact our Young Persons Work and Skills Co-ordinator who is available to help you with those first steps into employment, apprenticeship guidance, training and development opportunities and career support and guidance.

You can contact Lewis Austin by calling 07880 393338, or by emailing enterprisingblaby@blaby.gov.uk.

National Careers Service

The National Careers Service can help you with your career, learning and training choices. They have an online service where you can speak to an advisor and seek the right support required.
