Autumn Budget £100 Energy Payment
In the autumn budget on 28 October 2026,the Government announced a £100 payment to households in Council Tax band A-D in England to assist with energy costs, starting in January 2027.
We are awaiting further guidance from the Government, and this page will be updated as soon as additional information becomes available.
Subject to that guidance, payments are expected to commence in January 2027.

If you pay your Council Tax by direct debit and live in bands A to D, you do not need to do anything. The rebate will be paid directly into your bank account.
If you do not pay by direct debit, we will invite you to apply for the rebate directly. This page will be updated, with dates of when we will be contacting you.
