We're aware of issues with the printing of some garden waste stickers. If you have received a garden waste sticker with an incomplete address, it is still valid and your garden waste bin will be emptied.

Refuse Collections

We provide wheelie bins and bags for the collection of household waste. These are collected on an alternate weekly schedule.

Most items are accepted in a refuse bin. We will not accept the following items:

  • Liquids
  • Trade or business waste
  • Construction waste
  • Paint
  • Garden waste

We will not collect a bin if it is too heavy to move safely. Excess waste next to your refuse bin will also not be accepted.

If you need additional bin capacity at your property, you can view the options and order bins on the Order Bins page.

Replacement Bins

We may charge for a replacement bin if they have been damaged on purpose if they have been stolen or reported missing. No charges are applied for any damage caused by wear and tear to the bin.

Keeping a bin clean

It is the resident's responsibility to keep their bin clean. There are many bin cleaning companies available if you cannot do this yourself. To prevent smells you can try the following:

  • Ensure food or organic waste is bagged
  • Keep your bin lid closed. A closed bin lid will prevent any smells from escaping or flies from getting in
  • Store waste out of direct sunlight, especially in summer, to prevent your bin and its contents getting hot

Bagged refuse

Properties unable to accommodate wheeled bins are provided refuse sacks free of charge. These are delivered six monthly.
