Throughout the year we consult with residents, business owners, visitors and stakeholders on a range of topics. These consultations can be found below when live, followed by results and findings from selected consultations.
Local Plan (Regulation 19) Consultation
The consultation launched on Wednesday 8 July and closes at 12pm on Monday 24 August. Those interested in the blueprint document are invited to comment on whether the plan is compliant and sound; meaning it is:
• Positively prepared – focusses on meeting community needs
• Justified – based on evidence
• Effective – can be achieved and is based on joint working with neighbouring councils and organisations
• Consistent with national policy
Representations should be made online, where the draft document can be viewed along with supporting evidence. Detailed guidance is available to help people understand how to comment. Paper copies of the plan are also available at the Council offices and in libraries across the District.
