Physical activity programmes suspended

Following recent government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend some of our physical activity programmes until further notice.

The health and wellbeing of everyone who lives, works and visits Blaby District is our priority. We will continue to review our activities and will keep you updated.

We will be contacting current participants in the near future to discuss options to help you to keep active however you can and we will be working with participants and partners to develop new ways in which we can support you to keep active. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

All Steady Steps Programmes

  • Cosby - 12:30 pm Tuesdays
  • Enderby - 2:30 pm Tuesdays
  • Kirby Muxloe - 2 pm Tuesdays
  • Narborough - Classes due to start on Friday 27 March

All Steady Steps Plus Programmes

  • Stoney Stanton - 10:30 am Tuesdays
  • Cosby - 2 pm Tuesdays
  • Sharnford - 1:45 pm Tuesdays
  • Whetstone - 11:30 am Wednesdays
  • Glenfield - 10 am Thursdays
  • Blaby Social Centre - 12 pm Thursdays
  • Blaby Baptist Church - 2 pm Thursdays
  • Braunstone West Social Centre - 2:30 pm Thursdays

All Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation sessions

  • Huncote Leisure Centre - 11 am Monday and 3:30 pm Thursday
  • Enderby Leisure Centre - 11:15 am Tuesdays, 1 pm Wednesdays and 1:30 pm Fridays

All Exercise Referral Scheme sessions

Taking place at various times at Huncote Leisure Centre and Enderby Leisure Centre.

We will contact all of those with an Exercise Referral or Cardio-Pulmonary leisure centre memberships as soon as possible to confirm how these will be managed with our leisure providers.

Fit to Dance Classes

Keep Moving

  • Countesthorpe - 10:30 am Mondays

Singing for the Brain

  • Blaby Social Centre on the first Wednesday of each month

Beat the Street

Following government guidelines Beat the Street has ended early, and the leaderboards have been frozen.

Positive Activity Referral Scheme

This service is now postponed but please contact the Health and Leisure team if you need advice. Those using the scheme who have a membership to Enderby Leisure Centre or Huncote Leisure Centre can visit the Everyone Active website to explore their virtual classes.


Walks have been cancelled but during this time it is important, where possible, to exercise. Whilst on a walk you must stay a minimum of two meters apart and avoid physical contact where possible. We also ask that you wash your hands at every opportunity. If anyone is showing signs and symptoms or has a family member showing signs and symptoms they MUST not take part and self-isolate as per the government guidelines.

All other community sports and physical activity sessions are cancelled in a face to face format, however, please contact your individual instructors as many are providing virtual or online classes.
