Blaby District Council has recently commissioned expert advisors to produce a new economic strategy. This strategy sets out the vision and aims to ensure the whole District prospers from economic recovery and growth over the next three years.

Work on the strategy will begin immediately, and Blaby District businesses are being asked to help to shape the priority actions which they would like to see as part of the strategy.

The selected advisors, Heartflood, will be making a number of assessments and recommendations based on the local and national picture. The Council is urging businesses in the district to have their say and complete a brief questionnaire using the link below:

Councillor Ben Taylor Portfolio Holder for Planning Delivery and Enforcement and Corporate Transformation said: “Blaby District Council are commissioning a new economic development strategy which will outline measures to support local businesses over the next three years.

“We are looking for local businesses to be a part of shaping the future of the District by taking a few minutes to fill out our short survey. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your say and be a part of the process by providing valuable local intelligence on your business.”

Chris Gregory from Heartflood added: “While we will be able to make a range of suggestions, it is critically important that we gain the views of as many local businesses as possible to allow us to best shape the proposed strategy which we produce.”
