Flexible Working

A range of options is available, such as part-time working patterns, job sharing, working from home, annualised or compressed hours.

Flexi Time – up to 24 days per year (2 days per month)


A minimum 23 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) increasing to 28 days (plus bank holidays) after 5 years continuous service.

Health and Well-being

As part of our ongoing commitment to developing a healthy workforce, the Council works alongside an Occupational Health provider called Health Management. Assessments are made to determine your ability to work and what reasonable adjustments are needed to help you to be at work.

We also recognise the importance and impact that regular exercise has on your health and well-being and therefore offer a great range of discount on fitness activities, including discounted leisure centre and gym membership for leisure centres
