This page gives information about important news updates that took place during the Local Plan Delivery DPD Examination.

7 February 2019

The Council adopted the Delivery DPD on 4 February 2019.

3 January 2019

The Inspector has published her Report on the Examination and can be downloaded below. The Examination is now closed. The next stage is for the Council to adopt the Delivery DPD.

14 November 2018

All representations made on the Main Modifications were sent to the Inspector for her consideration. They will be taken into account by the Inspector before publishing her report. The representations can be viewed on the Delivery DPD Examination page.

14 September 2018

Following the Examination Hearings in July and August, a small number of Main Modifications were prepared at the suggestion of the Inspector to make the Delivery DPD sound. The Council consulted on the Main Modifications and supporting documents for 6 weeks from 14 September until 26 October 2018. For full details, please see the Delivery DPD Examination webpage.

23 August 2018

Following the close of the hearing sessions, the Inspector has requested that the Council produce a Note on Gypsy and Travellers and Travelling Show People - 'Unknown' Households. This document can be downloaded below.

15 August 2018

Following the good progress of the morning session of the examination, matters nine and ten were discussed in the morning session. The Hearing Sessions have now closed.

6 August 2018

The Inspector has issued the Hearing Session Agendas for the second week of the Examination Hearings (INS 04). The Council has also added the (BDC09) Addendum to Neighbourhood Parades Assessment document, which can be downloaded below.

1 August 2018

At the request of the Inspector, the Council has produced a Post Hearing Note (BDC08) about Matter 5: Proposed employment allocation site and can be downloaded below.

31 July 2018

Following the good progress of the morning session of the examination, matters five and six will be discussed in the morning session.

27 July 2018

The Inspector issued the Hearing Session Agendas for the first week of the Examination Hearings.  The Council has added the following documents, which can be downloaded below:

  • BDC/07 - Blaby District Council Local Plan Review 2018
  • OTH/01 - Statement of Common Ground between Blaby District Council and Leicester City Council, July 2018
  • OTH/02 - Statement of Common Ground between Blaby District Council and Historic England, July 2018

19 July 2018

The Inspector has now issued a revised timetable for the Examination Hearings, which can be viewed below.

3 July 2018

The Inspector invited hearing statements in response to her Matters, Issues and Questions. These statements have now been received and can be viewed on the Local Plan Documents page.

The Council has added new documents to reflect new housing and employment monitoring data available.

At the request of the Inspector, the Council has published the (BDC01) "Addendum to LP 04 Statement of Consultation" document which can be downloaded below.

The Notice of Examination was published and the Inspector has published the following documents, available below.
