Children and Families

Sport and physical activity are proven to help with a child's development along with providing a great opportunity for friends and families to socialise.

The Health and Leisure Services delivers a variety of events throughout the year which are suitable for young people and families and provide an opportunity to see the great parks and open spaces available across the district.

Inflatable Fun

Inflatable Fun takes place throughout the summer and will be held at a variety of parks and open spaces. It provides opportunities for friends and families to enjoy the summer weather and experience a number of our exciting inflatables including an obstacle course and gladiator duel.

Each event will be for 2 hours and costs £2 per person for ages 3 - 16. Under 3's go for free.

We also welcome local sports clubs and organisations to come along and promote their activities.

Xplorer is a family fun orienteering game in which you have to work together to navigate through one of our parks or open spaces and find different plaques.

Each plaque will have an image and question or fun fact about topics including space, animals, transport, Easter and Halloween.

Xplorer will be going on during the summer and you may also see it at other events such as Love Parks.
