Business Directory - Shop Local, Stay Local

Shop Local, Stay Local.

During these difficult times, we are trying to help both our residents and our local businesses by providing information on who is ‘open for business’ locally.  We are providing a list of local shops and businesses who are offering the essential services as defined by the government during the Coronavirus pandemic.  This information is provided in a Business Directory that includes information on difference businesses in the district within the following categories:

  • Food retailers
  • medical services (such as opticians, dentist, pharmacies and chemists)
  • petrol stations
  • bicycle shops
  • hardware shops (including plant and tool hire)
  • Veterinary surgeries and pet shops
  • Agricultural supplies
  • Laundrettes and dry cleaners
  • newsagents
  • off-licences
  • post office
  • banks and ATM’s
  • car repairs, MOT services, taxi and vehicle hire.
  • Takeaway and food delivery services (including pubs, cafes, restaurants)

We have made the Business Directory easy to use, just open the document; select your village and it will open up with a list of the businesses who are offering essential supplies in your area.

We will update the Business Director regularly, and include more information as we receive it, but please be aware that any new urgent measures brought in by the government may force opening times or availability to change.

Please be aware: We are still waiting for information from a few villages, as soon as it becomes available we will update the directory.

If you are a local business owner in the District of Blaby, offering an essential service as defined by the government, and would like to be included in the list, please use the Contact Us form at the bottom of this page.

Always follow the latest government guidelines regarding social distancing and the wider advice in relation to staying sage at this time.
