The wide range of facilities offered at The Pavilion are used by several clubs and associations.

No strings badminton club

Reshape your social life with no strings badminton. Whether you want to catch up on court with friends for a laugh, drop shot your way to a lower dress size, burn off those cheeky Friday night pints or simply catch up on court with the girls for a giggle and gossip, no strings badminton can fit into your lifestyle.

Our ‘pay and play’ sessions are simple, straightforward and sociable. It’s court time made really convenient…. whatever your motivation for welcoming badminton back into your life.

Junior badminton coaching

Junior coaching sessions on a Tuesday afternoon for children aged 6yrs upwards from 4.00pm – 5.30pm. The leisure centre has excellent badminton facilities, and for those who have not played before our coach will soon show you how to play one of the most popular sports in the country. All our coaches are fully trained and experienced in the sport and are fully DBS checked.

Over-50s drop-in badminton

A sociable badminton session available for over-50s, Thursday 10.00am – 11.30am just £2.80pp.

Blaby Bulldogs junior basketball

A Junior Basketball Club based at the Pavilion Leisure Centre. Their current age range is 8-14yrs, and welcome both boys and girls.

Their primary aim is to deliver high quality basketball coaching to youngsters who either have an interest in playing the sport competitively or just want to play for fun.

Although they do not compete in the national leagues, they do play in local competitions, and a number of their ex players, and indeed current players have gone on to play in national league sides and have joined the prestigious Burleigh Riders Basketball Academy, currently headed up by the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders captain, LT Williams.

Basketball is a great sport, which is currently attracting a wider audience in the UK, and is a fast developing sport with teams competing at a very high level, professionally and otherwise.

Children’s and adult trampolining, gymnastics, cheerleading

Huncote Hornets BMX club

A thriving BMX club ran from the Pavilion for children of all ages to learn the art of BMX racing and to help them lead a more active and healthy lifestyle. Please contact Jan Freakley on 07884 436646 for further information.

Centre pointe school of dance

Ballet/Tap/Modern classes for children aged 3 years – adult. Please contact Karina on 07791 450312 for further information.

Huncote Harriers

A successful running club whose summer training is based at the Pavilion. Please visit for further information.
