Blaby District Council is proud to support serving and former members of the armed forces, including reservists, and their families.
Armed Forces Community Covenant
On 9th November 2018 Blaby District Council re-signed the Armed Forces Community Covenant. The purpose of the Covenant is to encourage support for the Armed Forces Community working and residing in Blaby District and to recognise and remember the sacrifices made by this community, particularly those who have given the most. This includes in-service and ex-service personnel, their families and widow(ers) in Blaby District.

Armed Forces Community Covenant Champion
Blaby District Council has a dedicated champion who will oversee our progress in meeting our commitments outlined in the Covenant. The champion is Cllr Mark Jackson. In October 2018 the Council was also awarded the bronze award from the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
