There are many charities that collect items that can be recycled or reused to raise money.
The Council is supporting MIND, the mental health charity and is offering you the opportunity to donate your textiles and small electrical items to raise funds to support people with mental health problems.
Donating also helps to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
MIND will collect textiles and small electrical items from your home for free. You can request a MIND collection bag or arrange a collection below.
If you request a bag or order a collection before 1pm on Friday, you will receive your bag/collection the following week - on your usual refuse/recycling collection day.
Please place the bag out alongside your refuse/recycling bin. You can use your own bag (and just request a collection using the form above) but please make sure that the bag is clearly marked for MIND, so that it isn't taken by our refuse/recycling crews by mistake.
Ideally, textile and electrical items must be placed in separate bags.
If you do not have Mind textile bag please use a normal swing bin liner/bin bag, ensuring that it is clearly marked for 'Mind'. This will be replaced with a Mind bag when it is collected.
