The British Cycling BMX National Championships, due to be hosted by the Leicester Huncote Hornets, has been postponed.
Rounds three and four were due to take place across the weekend of 20-22 April on the site of the Hornets’ state-of-the-art track at the Council’s Pavilion Leisure Centre. However, significant rainfall throughout March and early April has made the surrounding grounds waterlogged and unsafe for visitors and campers.
After discussion with British Cycling, volunteers from the Huncote Hornets decided to postpone the event to later in the year. It’s anticipated that the competition will be rescheduled for the early autumn. A confirmed date will be announced.
