Crews were unable to complete their collections on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but due to the snow and ice were unable to undertake their duties. A waste officer was injured during an attempt on Wednesday.
What happens next?
- A double collection will take place next week for the roads that were unable to be collected. Up to three bags of additional refuse can be left next to bins. As much recycling as is produced will be taken.
- Please leave any garden bins out for collection. As the garden waste is now collected monthly further attempts will be made this week to take the garden waste away
Updated information if the snow and ice affects collections will be available on the website and via Twitter and Facebook when available. Advice is to leave any bins out as normal in case streets are accessible.
