Draft Housing Mix and Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document

Blaby District Council has prepared a Draft Housing Mix and Affordable
Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The aim of the SPD is to
supplement the Council’s recently adopted Local Plan (Core Strategy). The
document has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the
Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (the
Regulations).

Neighbourhood Planning

An application was submitted by Sapcote Parish Council (as the relevant body) for Neighbourhood Area status for the 11 Parish
Councils / Meetings which comprise the Fosse Villages Neighbourhood area.
Blaby District Council agreed to approve the submitted application, without modification, on 21 February 2013 in accordance with section 61 G of the Town and Country Planning Act.

Blaby District Local Plan (Allocations)

Following the recent adoption of its Blaby District Local Plan (Core Strategy) the Council is commencing work on its next
Plan, the Blaby District Local Plan ( Allocations etc). The Plan will cover the period to 2029 and will be in general conformity
with the Core Strategy.
The first stage in preparing the Plan is to invite interested bodies and persons to let the District Council know what they think it should contain. For futher information see the Public Notice.
