Parking

Blaby District Council provides car parks throughout the District. 19 of these car parks are free, and the newly extended and improved Station Road car park in Narborough and the Weavers Court car park in Narborough became Pay and Display on 2nd February 2008. If you would like to find their locations, please view our Car Parks page.

Parking Fines

From July 2007 the powers to enforce yellow line and parking space offences were transferred from the Police to the County Council as the local traffic authority. The aim of the enforcement service is to improve driver compliance with waiting restrictions, so helping local residents and businesses by reducing traffic delays and improving road safety.

The District and Borough Councils provide civil enforcement officers to enforce both on-street and off-street parking. These officers issue Penalty Charge Notices to offending vehicles. The County Council provides a single, centralised contact centre for the administration of this service.

Any enquiries about a Penalty Charge Notice should be addressed to the Notice Processing Service on 08458 450 450. Please do not contact Blaby District Council about a specific notice as we do not have any information about them.

The whole of the on-street and off-street parking process is overseen by an officer joint parking board.

For more information, visit the County Council's Parking Matters website.
