Sustainable urban extension workshops
Summary
The attached report was prepared by David Locke Associates. It summarises the findings of a workshop held for key
stakeholders in January 2010. The workshop sought to set out what development principles would need to be incorporated into
any scheme should a planning application for a Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE) be submitted on land at Lubbesthorpe.

Further information
The attached material was prepared by David Locke Associates and was distributed to all parties who attended the workshops (including Blaby District Council). The report mainly shows the site constraints and development opportunities that were identified in the workshops.
The workshop and subsequent report were not organised, co-ordinated or produced by Blaby District Council. Officers and Members of Blaby District Council were invited to attend the workshop as stakeholders.
In addition to the ‘stakeholder’ workshops, it is understood that if a planning application were to be submitted on land at Lubbesthorpe, that this would involve further consultation with the Community and other interested parties prior to submission.
