Active Together
The Active Together Project, a countywide project aiming at get adults more physically active, has unfortunately ended from April 2012 as funding for the project was withdrawn. The Sport and Physical Activity Commissioning Plan is the method to which Local Authorities are devolved funding to deliver sport and physical activity within their district or borough. The funding is sup-plied through Public Health at Leicestershire County Council with a view for sport and physical activity to have a positive health impact on the county’s residents. These activities will still be run under the banner of Active Together as the brand is well known throughout the district.
