Housing Improvement & Repairs
Summary
The Council has services that cover improvements and repairs in its own Council stock (provided by the Housing Maintenance
Team called The Housing Works Unit) and in privately rented and privately owned homes (carried out by the Private Sector Housing
Team).

Privately Rented Properties
If your property is in a poor state of repair, you should approach your landlord or agency to discuss the problem. Your
tenancy agreement should identify what items you are responsible for and what items are the landlords responsibility.
