Allocations Policy

The Council operates a single housing register for all new applicants and those seeking a transfer (from an existing Blaby District Council property ).  The register is based on a category system which reflects the housing needs and requirements of applicants.  A property will normally be allocated to (or a nomination made to a Housing Association on behalf of) the applicant in the highest category with the earliest registration date.
