Three Oaks Homes (social housing)
Three Oaks Homes is a large scale voluntary stock transfer (LSVT) housing association, registered with the Tenant Services
Authority.
In the Autumn of 2007 Council tenants in the District of Blaby overwhelmingly voted ‘Yes’ to transferring the ownership and management of their homes to Three Oaks Homes, which is a member of the East Midlands Housing Group.
In a postal ballot, 79 per cent of tenants voted, in favour of transferring from the Council to Three Oaks Homes. Only 21 per cent voted no. Overall there was a 75.6 per cent turnout.
The transfer, that took place on 3rd November 2008, means that Three Oaks Homes will spend around £30 million on a programme of repairs and improvements for tenants’ homes in the first five years after transfer. Three Oaks Homes is based in the District of Blaby.
