How do I request a dog bin?

  1. Contact us by e-mail, telephone, online form or by coming into the Council
  2. Information we will need from you:
    1. your full name;
    2. your full address including your postcode;
    3. your home telephone number and a number which we can contact you on during normal office hours if this is different;
    4. your email address (if applicable);
    5. details of the area where you feel a dog bin is required and your reasons why you feel it is required;

Requesting a dog bin

Blaby District Council endeavour to provide as many dog bins as possible around the district. Should you feel that a particular area is lacking a dog bin, please provide details in the online form above and we will investigate the possibility of installing a new bin at the required location. Please note, however, that not all locations are suitable for bins.

Emptying a dog bin

All Council-owned dog hygiene bins are emptied twice weekly by our Environmental Maintenance Team. If you notice an overflowing dog bin, please provide details on the online form above, and we will endeavour to empty them by the end of the working day.

Expressing interest in sponsorship

The Council currently have approximately 400 dog bins around the district, which can provide good sponsorship opportunities particularly for dog related products or services. Should you or your business be interested in sponsorship opportunities, please provide details in the online form above.
