Animal Nuisance - Barking Dogs

The Dog Warden service investigates complaints regarding noisy dogs. 
 
On receipt of a complaint, the Dog Warden will visit the dog owner and give advice to try to resolve the problem. 
 
If necessary complaints can be investigated further and if an officer witnesses a noise nuisance we may take the following action: 
 

·           Informal letter

·           Serve a Noise Abatement Notice

·           Interview the dog owner under Caution

·           Prosecute the dog owner
