Further information

Signs of Rat infestation include:-
Holes, Droppings, Runs, Smear marks, Damage, Tracks, Nests, Dead and Live rodents.

As Rats will seek out any kind of food they can, during treatment the rats need to find the poison that is put down more enticing then anything else. To make any treatment a success you should ensure there are no other food sources available to distract them.

If you feed the birds we would recommend you stop doing this especially during treatment. Do not leave animal food on the ground and keep any pet food in sealed containers.

The Pest Control Officer will make a re-visit until he feels there is no further infestation or there is no further action we can take. There are a number of rodenticides that can be purchased directly by the public from Hardware stores, for you to carry out your own treatment. Please read any label carefully to ensure treatment is carried out safely.

We aim to respond within 48 hours to arrange a convenient time to visit or offer advice.
