Penalties
When can the Revenues Section impose a penalty on me ?
The Revenues Section has the power to impose a financial penalty if an individual fails to provide requested
information or provides false information.
What if I disagree with the penalty ?
If you disagree with the penalty you should first discuss it with the Revenues Section. If you are still not
satisfied you can appeal direct to a Valuation Tribunal. You will have two months from the issue of the penalty to make your
appeal. If you decide to appeal you do not have to pay the penalty until your appeal has been decided.
