Blaby Home Search is a partnership between Blaby District Council, 6 other Local Authorities in Leicestershire and the Housing Associations that operate throughout the District.

Choice Based Lettings:
- Is an open, transparent and customer based approach to the allocation of properties. It is now live!
- It advertises properties via the internet at www.blaby-homes.org.uk
- Will also advertise properties through property posters and property booklets distributed throughout the District at libraries and other key venues
- It advertises all social rented vacancies and in the future privately rented and shared ownership properties
- Ensures that more choice is given to home-seekers regarding where they want to live in the District
- Allows home-seekers to ‘bid’ for properties that match their household requirements
- Allocates properties according to priority and allows home-seekers to see why bids where not succuessful
- Gives home-seekers the opportunity to place bids through the website, via telephone or by text message. Vulnerable applicants can also request that bids are placed for them
