you wish to make a complaint about the conduct of a Councillor you must write to the Standards Committee of the Council concerned.
How to make a complaint
- To make a complaint about a Councillor of Blaby District Council, a Parish or Town Councillor within Blaby District, it is advisable to contact the Monitoring Officer on the number below or the relevant Parish Clerk as they may be able to assist you in understanding what issues are covered by the Code of Conduct or where matters may be dealt with more informally

What is the Standards Committee
A Standards Committee is a group of people appointed by a local authority to help maintain and promote high ethical standards. The Standards Committee is made up of independent people, Parish and District Councillors.
What complaints can be dealt with by the Standards Committee
The Standards Committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a Councillor. It will not deal with matters that are not covered in the Councillors Code of Conduct
However, if you prefer, a complaint can be made in writing to Blaby District Council Standards Committee using the complaints form with the guidance notes to assist you in completing the complaints form.
The forms should be sent in an envelope to the address below marked -
