Summary
In addition to the Development Plan for the District of Blaby (The East Midlands Regional Plan 2009* and
saved policies of the Blaby Local Plan 1999) The Council has produced Supplementary Planning Documents (formerly known as
Supplementary Planning Guidance) which supplements the policies of the development plan.

Further information
The District Council currently has policies in the Blaby District Local Plan which relate to affordable housing, provision of developer contributions and design quality which have been ‘saved’ until the emerging Core Strategy of the Local Development Framework can be adopted. These SPD / SPG are linked to both the current and emerging Development Plan for Blaby District providing continuity between the two plans.
Blaby District Council has produced three Supplementary Planning Documents / Guidance relating to issues such as ‘affordable housing’, ‘developer contributions’ and design guidance for part of Kirby Muxloe.
